Cuttlebug and Sketch Challenge

Wow 2 posts in the same day….. I knew I would not have time to do anything tomorrow so I wanted to get my challenges done today. This card is a 3 for 1. I made it for the Sketch Challenge and the Cuttlebug Challenge but it is also a Make-A-Wish thank you card. Now you can’t beat that. lol

Black Friday Something Challenge On PCP

This was another fun challenge over on PCP you can find it here. I knew what I wanted to make for this one right away. I just love these little purses and you cannot go shopping without your purse. You can find a tutorial here.

Let's Bake A Christmas Treat Challenge

This card was made for a challenge over on PCP you can find it here . It was like no other challenge I have done and was quite fun. I don't think I would send this out as a Christmas card because of the flowers (they were the only ones I had on hand). I might change them to a more Christmas flower after a trip to the craft store. Other than that I like it.
I could only use dry embossing, flowers, bilng, giltter, white cardstock and black ink.

Baby Shower

I wanted to share a few of the shower favors my niece had at her baby shower. These are so cute; they were made by 2 of her girlfriends.

The little shoe is a little smashed because it was packed in the back of my car for the trip from AZ to New Mexico.

This is placed on microwave popcorn. HOW CUTE IS THAT!!!!

And here is the beautiful princess Delaney at 29 days old. Now that is one

beautiful baby (even if I do say so my self. Being the great aunt and all). Her mama is a big Cowboy’s fan and this was taken on a game day. Maybe she will be a cowboy’s cheerleader someday.lol

I am an addict!!

I am an addict!!! Yup that’s right, I am saying it out loud right here!! I am addicted to buying stamps! I was introduced to e-bay by my husband this past weekend. I know I know you are thinking…….”What”? I had looked a few times and even had him buy me a stamp set once (at full price I might add). But after cleaning my stamp room the weekend before I found a few sets I thought I could part with. Soooooo he taught me how to post and sale the stamps. While I was doing this, I found a very cute set for sale; well I could not just let it be. I had to bid… and bid. …And bid… yep I got it. Then, there were a few more sets that were soooooo cute……. Yep got them too.lol All in all I ended up putting 6 sets up for sale but buying 15! Now, that is not 15 stamps… That is 15 stampin up stamp SETS!
Now don’t get me wrong… I will love the new stamps but I have not even used all of the sets I already have. The answer is to just spend more time stamping I guess. So here is the total.. Freight $31.27, 15 stamp sets $43.29 Grand total $74.56. Now looking at it like this I feel a little better. That is really a good deal (right :-). I still have to “just say no” to ebay. Lol I was temped to look again today so I am going to clean house after this! I am trying to use that as a negative reinforcement of sorts. Anyway here are the cards I made this morning. I am trying to get my Christmas cards done along with the make-a-wish ones. Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving and we will all get back on the diets the 28th.

PCP Sketch Challenge 11/22/08 and more M-A-W Thank You cards

Paper Craft Planet Sketch Challenge 11/22/08 found here: http://www.papercraftplanet.com/photo/photo/show?id=2076575%3APhoto%3A125146

These turned out so cute. They are very fast to make using the oval punch. I chalked the edges and a little around the flower with stampin up pastels. In fact they were so easy I will be making Make-A-Wish a lot of these.

Again thank you to all of you who are willing to help make the Thank You cards for Make-A-Wish. You can find the info here:

Wow what a great group of people!

Thank you to everyone willing to help with the Thank You card project. I am overwhelmed by the response to this project. The Make-A-Wish team sends out between 10 and 15 thank you cards per wish kid. I think they said the New Mexico office fulfilled 107 wishes last year. That is a lot of cards! So thank you all for wanting to help. I will be taking pictures of the cards to post here and on paper craft planet. Allison at the Make a wish office has agreed to hold them until I can get the pictures. I am really looking forward to seeing everyone's work.

Please send cards to :

Thank you soooooooooooo much,
Mary

Sketch Challenge 8/15/08

These are my cards for the sketch Challenge http://www.papercraftplanet.com/group/sketchchallenge over on http://www.papercraftplanet.com/. Most of you know I try to make 3 Thank you cards a day so most of the time when I do a challenge after I take the photo I change them into Thank You cards. That way they don't all look the same.

This is a stamp I had made to stamp the back of all my cards with.

Birthday Gift

I have finished the gift for my mother-in-law. I think it turned out really nice. She and I both have a "thing" for baskets. I found this little basket and just knew I wanted to make something for her out of it. I added 20 cards and envelopes of all different kinds. Some of the cards were from challenges I have done. It is so hard to shop for parents. What can you give someone that has given you so much? Any way I love her and hope she enjoys the cards.

Good Blog Friends

Good thing I have great blog friends to follow. I was running out of ideas for my make a wish Thank You cards. Then I found this beautiful card
http://poeticartistry.blogspot.com/2008/11/silhouette-thoughts.html
I know mine is not as lovely but, I’m ok with that. The person that gets mine will not have seen the original so mine will look great. lol

As I was making these cards I started to feel very closed in! I realized my work area was a huge mess. After I finished the cards I spent the rest of the day cleaning out my area. I have no idea where all this stuff came from but Ebay here I come. Lol I feel better now that it is done and I look forward to creating up there again. Here are the before and after photo’s. In the photo’s it doesn’t look like that big of a change but it sure feels good and clean.

Before

After

Now I can sit back and enjoy the view.

Hope you all have a great weekend.

Christmas

One Christmas party we were enjoying this chocolate fountain and fruit. We all left the room to open a few gifts in the den. When we came back to the kitchen, this is what we found! All I could do is laugh my head off. This was a huge mess, cleaning chocolate out of the grout was a big job. You can't see it in the photo but the chocolate made it all the way to the floor.
The title of this scrapbook page is “Some thing’s should stay as seen on TV”

The stamp show was here

The stamp show was here today. I had been looking forward to it all week. Here are a few of the stamps I bought.

This stamp is from Judi Kins.
The Faith stamp is from endless creations.

These stamps are from B&J Art Stamps.

These are the stamps I went to get in the first place. I saw this one last year when the stamp show was here. I just love the way these cards turn out and they are very easy and fast.

I tried the same thing with a stampin up stamp (inspired by nature).
