A Slumped Bowl

My middle son gave me a slumped bottle mold for Christmas and I just love the way it came out. I use it as an olive bowl and I just love it. I hope to have a bunch of them made by our next craft show in May.

More bottles

than I know what to do with! I am working hard to have enough for all the craft shows we are going to do this year. I just about sold out last year so I am getting a head start this time.

The new kiln is wonderful

This is my old kiln, my mother bought it back in the early 80's and it is still a great little kiln. I just wanted to slump larger bottles.
Here is the wonderful new kiln my husband found for me. He checked craigslist every day and found this one for $200.00!!! When we went to see it I didn't have much faith that it would work but thought I would give it a try. The nice lady sold it to us for $125.00 because it needed a new lid and she didn't know if it would work either.

Well a new lid $160.00 and a kiln sitter $40.00 and it works great.
