I had a great time making this today, I thought I got the tutorial from this blog but looking back at her work I can’t find it. Sooooo I am not sure where it came from. I hate to leave you hanging so if anyone knows where the original is please leave me a post and I will add it here. Anyway you should check out the link above this gal is so talented. I always find great ideas there.
Thank you for stopping by to check out my blog. I hope you find something to trigger a spark in you to go and create something beautiful (or at least enjoyable to make). I find this is a great stress reliever and look forward to sitting at my desk each day. If you need measurements, svg or directions please leave a comment (and a way I can contact you) and I will try to answer as soon as I can. So enjoy and if I can help just let me know.

Butterflies for a friend.
A friend of mine asked me to keep my eyes open for open butterflies. I found these and a few others that can be cut with the SCAL and Cricut. These are just proto types and won’t be used. I just wanted to see how they looked cut out. The flower on the blue card is from the Stampin Up design studio. I used it in the SCAL program and had the Cricut cut it out. This is my first try at converting a design studio image to SCAL and it worked great. I love it when things work the first time round.

Careful on Downloading SVG files
Oh I have learned a valuable lesson. Be careful of the SVG files you download. There are 2 reasons I found for this.
1. Some just might have a virus attached to them, I have not had this happen but was warned of them form a forum on Craft edge.
2. Some of the cut files, ok a lot of the cut files are junk! If they don’t show a picture of the cut item I am going to pass them up. I spent hours in the craft room yesterday cutting things out that I downloaded just to find out they don’t work. Good thing I had a bunch of cheap paper and I used it to test cut things. I came down hours later with not one thing to show for the time. Grrrrrrrr
I am going to spend some time cleaning out my files (I have over 6000) and I will be much more careful of the files I do download.

Smore Birthday
Oh I know you were expecting another black and white card. I will make one for tomorrow because I wouldn’t want to disappoint anyone. Lol This is the under the stars set from Stampin Up. It is one of my favorite sets and I tend to use it a lot. I made the clouds by sponging a little ink around the oval scallop I punched for the birthday sentiment. I used liquid appliqué for the middle of the marshmallow and heated it until it looked a little burned.

Just incase you are sick of Black and White I added RED
Ok well it is still black and white but I added a little red. The birds were printed from the Stampin up Design Studio I can change the color of them but I just really like the black and white right now.

More Black and White Wedding Hearts
Another black and white heart wedding card. I used the cricut and the wedding cartridge to cut the shoes and the hat. These hearts are from the stampin up design studio. I haven’t used it much but when I do I like it. I printed the hearts out on white card stock and cut them out to layer on this card.

No time to stamp is ok sometimes
I have not had time to stamp or craft at all this week. I do believe I am having withdrawals. Lol I did pick up a new wish kiddo from Make-A-Wish. She is 14 and wants to go on a shopping spree. I love shopping so this is my kind of wish. If anyone has ideas of things you think would make a wish even more special I would love to hear them. We put balloons and sparkling cider in the limo and think we will be making a cd of her favorite music to play in the car. But we always do those things so if you have any ideas please leave a post. I really love being a wish granter for Make-A-Wish and I know just how important these wishes can be. My son’s wish for a computer when he was 12 years old was so great. It helped him pass the time when he was in the hospital and when he was at home for his year of chemo treatments. He is now 18 years old and cancer free… and still using that same laptop computer. God is so good to us, sometimes in the rush of life I forget to say thank you for all my blessings.
Hope everyone has a great weekend and I will try to have something to share soon.

2nd Glass Block
Back
I made this for my sister-in-law because she loves wolfs. This looks so much better in person than it does on camera. You can find the SVG file HERE I used the off brand of vinyl from Hobby Lobby and it worked just great.

Gypsy
I got a gypsy and I am not sure how I feel about it. I haven’t really had a chance to play with it all that much but what I have done doesn’t impress me much. It has all the cartridges listed already in it but to use them you must own the cartridge. I am ok with that except to use the ones I own I have to enter through all of them one at a time. Now there must be an easier way to get from A to Z without going through them all. I have not seen much about it online and the book that came with it basically was no help. I think I will love it on our road trips but for working anywhere near home I will stick to my SCAL and Design studio. There is a key word search but that doesn’t work as well as I think it should. If anyone has an opinion of the gypsy I would love to hear from you.
I hope everyone has a great valentines day.

Almost time
Oh I can’t wait for tomorrow. Now I really don’t like Valentines Day at all most of the time. Except for this year, I have the perfect gift for my wonderful husband and he has no idea about it. That is always a hard thing to pull over on him. He found this ring at Christmas time but talked himself out of it and by now has forgotten all about it. Whooo Hoooooo they still had it and I can’t wait to give it to him.
The box idea is from this blog, I couldn’t get my web page to convert to English so I just looked at the pictures. I love the way it came out and I will fill it with mini snicker bars so the ring box will be hidden in the bottom. Oh I love it when a plan comes together

Why I needed the camper
Ok this is why I needed the camper. This is a scrapbook I am making for a road trip with our camper we will be taking this summer. The whole family will be going and that is quite an accomplishment. 4 out of 5 of us work for the same company and it is tough for everyone to get the same time off. Also the kids are all grown up and that makes it tough to get everyone together at one time too. I made the Book last year for a Bind it All challenge. I will change the back cover to a Texas plate (that's where we are going). So looking at it with the New Mexico plate face up will be the trip out there, turn it over to the Texas plate and that will be the trip back.

Wedding Always make me cry Cards too
This is the card that inspired my Weddings make me cry challenge box. I cut the hearts with my cricut and SCAL. The tie is just a little V cut out of the heart and trimmed at the top to look like a tie. I then ran the white hearts and tie part of black hearts through my cuttlebug in the Swiss dots. The base of the card is white card stock the top of the card is white card stock I ran through the cuttlebug in swirl folder and punched the corners with the stampin up ticket punch.

Weddings always make me cry.
I took the challenge “what kind of box is this” and this is what I came up with. I used the little tissue package but I had to take them out of the package so it didn't show. The hearts are a stampin up punch. Let me know if you take the challenge, I wouldn’t want to miss it.

How bout them Cowboys!!!
Ok now this is getting serious …. My baby is 18 years old today…. Now just how did this happen so fast. I miss having little kids and would adopt many more if it wasn’t for one thing………..HIGH SCHOOL!!!! I have hated high school all 4 times (once for myself and 3 for my son’s). So I will wait for grandkids and let the parents worry about school.
Just a short little project today, the file for SVG found here.
