Happy New Year
I can't believe another year has come and gone. I hope you all have a wonderful New Year. I will not be making any New Years resolutions this year that just puts to much pressure on a person. Can't wait to see what 2010 holds.

Wow..........Where has this year gone????
I feel like everyone else has been so busy making such beautiful things while I have been just trying to get my computer to work. I am now using windows 7 from vista. Yes vista was bad but at least I knew how to work it. W7 is all new to me and I can't get things to work right yet. I should be use to this I change computers or OS. every Christmas, I just got this gift a little early. My husband was tired of me yelling at my computer about vista. lol
I do have a few pictures of our house to share with you. I only used 1/2 the lights and none of the animated things..... I must be getting old!!!!

Work gifts ......... done!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok so I guess I have been busy with a few craft projects. I made one of these for all the people I work with and my kids stockings (46). They are the giant candy bars and they came out so cute. I found the snowman HERE, the hats are just tubes of fabric glued on, a piece of fabric for the scarf and a little glitter glue, DONE.
I used the cricut with the Christmas cheer cartridge to put the Merry Christmas on the back.

My first try at an SVG file for the SCAL
Ok this is the first thing I have made and cut with my Sure cuts a lot program. I took it all apart in inkscape and I must say it came out sooooooooooo cute except for all the glue I got all over EVERYTHING! It is all over the top of my desk, my project, my fingers.... Some days you just shouldn't mess with glue. I am working on the mask part, I hope to get it so it cuts all in one piece, the less glue the better! lol
I am really liking the new program. Got to love the Cricut!

Planer pages
I made this a few years ago and it has worked out well for me. I made the pages the size of my planer, I laminated the pages and use a wet erase pen. I have made 2 pages for each of my family members, the right side has the list of things I have bought, the left is things I am thinking about or things they have said they would like it also has a pocket to put the receipts in. I also made menu pages, note pages, and pages where I write the names and gifts for others I need to buy. I have a check list for batteries so every time I buy a gift that needs a battery I mark it. Nothing worse than digging through the junk drawer on Christmas morning looking for a battery.

I will be selling these little purse scrapbooks at a craft show next weekend so I made one up to show how it looks finished. I used pictures of my great niece and it came out sooooooo cute. Stamp Convention
The stamp convention was here this weekend and boy do I love that. I made this card for my Mother-in-law's birthday with the new stamps I picked up.... Even though I told myself I would not buy any stamps this time. I did pick up 3 stamps.
I did a lot of layering on this one and think it came out just beautiful. I will also be using this set up for my Easter Cards with the phrase " He has risen" inside and I will use a stone on the front where the pots are and lay a piece of fabric on the inside.

More Baby Shower things
The longer the shower is put off the more I make for it! I hope all this stuff fits in the car so I can get it where ever the shower is going to be…. Or we could just have it here…. Now that is a good idea!!!
These are covers for candy bars I printed out. The back has some really cute stuff on it that I copied from a website so I won't show it here but trust me it is very cute.

I made this set for my niece’s first baby. She is still on strict bed rest 10 weeks in bed already, but she is still hanging in there. The doctor wants her on bed rest for at least 2 more weeks. The longer she is in bed the more time I have to make gifts for her. Her shower was going to be the end of Sept. then it was changed to the end of Oct. now I think we are just going to wait for the baby and have him at his shower too. I was at my own baby shower.

Balloon Fiesta
This is the beautiful Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. It is such a beautiful sight to see, and everyone is so friendly. I always meet such fun and nice people here. We also have use of a golf cart and it never fails we run across an older person that could use a ride back to their car and I always enjoy the stories they have to share. One of our dogs even likes the ride.lol
