This was a cute card that Sue made I just had to give it atry too. You can find the pattern here. I really enjoyed making this one. Italso came with the SVG cut file but I can’t get it to work with sure cuts a lot 2, so I just cut it byhand. When I do it again I will use white paper for the car, our police cars are white and sheriff cars are black.

I am really on a roll, 2 projects and it’s only the 1^stweek of January!!!! This project also came from SVGCUTS.COM. Ok right up frontthey do give you a video you can watch and walks you through these projects…. Andboy did I need it! I wish they were on paper so I could go back and work atmy own pace. This book was a bit harder for me; ok A LOT harder for me. I amnot sure I will try this one again anytime soon. There are 5 projects in this file so I amsure I will find one I love in it too. Customer Service at SVGCUTS.com was amazing! I had lost part of a fileafter I downloaded it I emailed them and they opened the file up again for meand told me if I ever needed it again just let them know they would be happy toopen it for me anytime. Now that is great for someone like me who has computerissues on a regular basis. Let me know if you have tried their files and whatyou think.

My first paper craft of 2012 and I hope I will have more time to craft this year!!!I bought this SVG (December Gifts) from HERE and I really love it. It was not hard but it was very time consuming. I will make this one again for sure. I wish I would of used prettier paper, I just grabbed a handful I had on my desk to give it a try. I hate to use my best paper for 1^st time projects.

Well Christmas has come and gone and life is starting tosettle down a little around here. I got a Janome sewing machine for Christmasand want to learn to make quilt tops. We had a wonderful Christmas! I love to spend time with myfamily, seems I just can’t get enough of it. We stopped by one of my brothershouses on Christmas Eve and he gave us T-shirts for his new business Steelhorsearmory.com. Well……… I just had to pull out some ofour guns and take a few pictures for him. We all went shooting on Christmas day and hada great time spending time with 2 of my brothers and their families. So if anyone needs a new gun check out hissite, he has just about anything you want. I bought hubby a .22 597 rifle witha scope for Christmas, it is such a fun little gun, poor guy didn’t get toshoot it much yesterday, I had it. lol

We had a wonderful craft show this past weekend at La CuevaHigh School, had a huge turn out and almost doubled our sales from lastyear. We have one more show this yearand then we start restocking our inventory for next year. I was sure I had fired enough bottles to lasta few years but found myself having to fire 2 loads this week. lol

Sandia Craft Show

The Sandia Craft show was a success, we sold a lot and I hada wonderful time hanging out with my friends. The day flew by and I am looking forward to the next 2 shows. Last year I was the only one selling theslumped bottles, this year there were 2 others. I guess I should of expected at least that many they are very cool. lol

Kristen makes some really wonderful paper crafts and I kindof regret getting into the bottles, paper crafts were sooooooo much easier toload and unload. Thank goodness for my wonderful husband for all the heavylifting.

I got this great stand for $20.00 at a Hallmark store that went out of business. It worked great and I could really get a lot of bottles on it.

First craftshow of the season is tomorrow….. I can’t believe I am looking forward togetting up at 5am! I am never up before 7am and then it is a few cups of coffeebefore I get moving. lol I will postpictures and how we did and what the big sellers were this year. I would loveto know what the best sellers for you are. For the last 2 years I sold a bunchof the scrapbook purses, you can find the tutorial here. I sale them for $5.00and I ran out both shows we did. Thisyear we are doing 3 shows Sandia High School 11/19, LaCueva High School 12/3and Eisenhower Middle School 12/10. Would love to see you there.

Really true ink!!!! It has been so long since I have been up in the craft room. But after the week I had I really needed to just sit and think of nothing but putting things together. I decided to work on some notebooks for the upcoming craft shows we will be doing this year. We were accepted into the LaCueva show again and did sooooo well at that one last year can't wait for this years. I had some cards that I made and really liked so thought I would turn them into notebooks something that would last longer than a card.

We are still not allowed into the shop at work, and the poor tech's and detail are working outside in the heat. I can't wait to get this all done but until the EPA says we can clean it up and tells us how we "have to clean it up" we are stuck waiting. This is what it looks like 2+ months after the fire.

I miss you guys so much! I haven't had time to do any real crafting, I did make this cake and cupcakes for my nieces baby shower.

But we are still dealing with the fire issues at work. So as nice as it was to have a day off to do this for one of my favorite nieces we always have to go back to this....

we are told it will take about a year to get everything up and running again but everyone still has a job so I am very happy about that.

Just wanted to say so long for a while. I won't be posting anything new anytime soon. Our company has had a major fire and the clean up starts today. Thank you for all the comments and emails over the years I have had a blast meeting some really great people here. Another month and another class done. I don't think I will do many fondant cakes, the family doesn't like to eat them, but they sure are pretty. I will be starting another class next month (flowers and cake design). After that I will have to check into taking classes from CNM or a specialty shop. I really want to keep taking some kind of classes.

Had such a good time at this cake class I am going to take another one starting next week on fondant and gum paste. I have never liked cake with fondant on it but they sure look pretty. My family is really tired of buttercream too. They will never look at cake the same way again. lol

How cute are these!!!!!

What you need to make them:

12” black elastic
Rubber band hair tie
Silk Flower
Buttons
Needle and thread
These work well for the journal size books but can also go larger of smaller because of the elastic. They can be made with ribbon and will still have a bit of stretch because of the hair tie. I have seen these a few places so not sure who I CASEd them from but they are really cute and easy, I made all of these last night while I watched TV.

On the ones I Cased they used the flower to hold the hair tie (just looped around the flower), I found it easier to sew a button on the back so the hair tie just hooks around it.

You ever have one of those items that everyone wants but you reall just don't want to make them.... Well here it is. These little purse scrapbooks sale like crazy but I sure get sick of making the same things over and over and over..... I am doing them in stages this year, each folded paper has all the parts to make a purse so now I just have to glue them together and embellish. and we all know its the embellishing that is the fun part so this weekend will be more fun for me.

I must say I got myself a scorpal and it has made this job sooooooo much easier.

A Slumped Bowl

The new kiln is wonderful

This is my old kiln, my mother bought it back in the early 80's and it is still a great little kiln. I just wanted to slump larger bottles.

Here is the wonderful new kiln my husband found for me. He checked craigslist every day and found this one for $200.00!!! When we went to see it I didn't have much faith that it would work but thought I would give it a try. The nice lady sold it to us for $125.00 because it needed a new lid and she didn't know if it would work either.

Well a new lid $160.00 and a kiln sitter $40.00 and it works great.

Some of the cricut things we did for Christmas gifts. My youngest son Mitch wanted to do these Call of Duty Black Op window stickers for his and his friend’s cars. We used shelf contact paper to test cut them and then went and got the more expensive cricut vinyl. Mitch put the ones we cut out of the shelf contact paper on his car “just to see how it looked”, they stuck well and looked good. In the end the shelf contact paper worked better than the cricut vinyl for what we were doing. They have been on the cars in the snow, rain, wind and crazy freezing weather. He put one on my car too, I just took it off today (totaly not my style). It was stuck well but came off easy enough. He also made his girlfriend a cupcake for her car but I didn’t get a picture of it yet.

I also made this T-n-T sticker for Terry (hubby) and Travis (oldest son) for their pro fisherman logo.

OMGosh, we had a GREAT show! Almost sold out of everything! By 10:30am we started to worry a little that we wouldn't have enough items to make it until 4:00pm. We did but we sure carried a lot of empty boxes to the car. Had a great time and can't wait to do it again.

Ok so like many of you I have told myself “I am going to use each one of my craft items, stamps/punches/programs… etc… at least once before I buy anything else”. I have been telling myself this for a few YEARS now. Well this is it! I will make an item as soon as I can after I get my new item. This is the embossing folder (Stampin up Northern Flurry) and die (Stampin up Northern Frost) I ordered at Gina’s the other day and got today. I love this folder! I think I will be using this one a lot. The die is beautiful (a little time consuming picking out all the little pieces) I made a bunch of the snow flakes to use as I need them. I used pink because that was what was on the desk but I like it.

Things just might be slowing down enough so I can get back to crafting. Summer is always such a crazy time around here but I can feel the change in weather starting and only have a few more camping trips planned for this year. I really need to get up there and get started on some craft show items we have 2 shows already planned for this year. My friend Kristen and I are so excited we made the cut for the LaCueva juried craft show! We know of a few crafters that have been trying for years to get into this show so to us it is quite an accomplishment. I will be posting again very soon ….. no really this time. Lol
If you have had luck with items at craft shows please let me know what they are we have only done one other show and have a lot to learn.

The balls are in the yard

The balls are in the yard and they look so cute. The best part is the New Mexico wind can’t blow them away!

I won’t be in the craft room anytime soon I have picked up a new wish child and will be working on his wish this week. He wants a pop up tent trailer and the Make a wish foundation has granted it for him. We will be delivering it to him at our dealership on Aug. 7, 2010. I love being part of such a great organizations, both Make-a-Wish and Rocky Mountain RV. Being a wish granter is amazing! I love to see how happy these kiddos are when they get their wishes.

Then I have family coming from Texas the fallowing week. I love spending time with family and I haven’t seen this family near enough. So I think from now on I will just not craft in the summer. That way I won’t feel like I am not getting enough done. Lol I have been firing the kiln a few times a week, I need to find someone that drinks more so I will have enough slumped glass for this years show.

My friend Kristen and I have sighed up of a few shows and we hope to get our feet wet this year and see if it is something we want to continue.

Bowling balls for yard art.

These are not done yet but wanted to share them with you anyway. I got the bowling balls from a thrift store for $3.99 each. The pattern and directions I googled and found directions in the online magazine Birds and Blooms. I found if I put the balls on full soda/beer cans it would hold the balls and only leave a small ring to paint later.

For the black first I tried tape and masked it off. I fouund this didn't work for me so I just hand painted the black over the red.

I found this copper tube in the back yard where my DH had left it after he replaced it on the a/c, it was his idea to bend the end before we put it into the finger holes.

I only had white caulking but it is paintable, I just have to wait for it to dry before I can paint it. I think it will be at least a week and then they will be sent to the backyard to live. I have 2 more balls and I think I will make the bees out of them.

I should just know better than to think I could get crafting done in the summer. I do have a date set with a friend to do some crafting so just maybe I will get some done. We have almost finished our kitchen island and I am sooooooooo happy to have it almost over. I hate waiting around for people to show up they say 10 am then show up at 4pm. I have one more day to wait around and I hope it will be all done.

My boys are such good sports when it comes to giving me great pictures for my books.Here is part of my Texas trip scrapbook, I still have a bit of embellishing to do but I wanted to share it with you. We had such a great time and I just love our yearly family vacations. Even though the boys are all adults they still look forward to spending a week all together. I hope we can keep this tradition going forever.

The license plates come from work, we get a lot of trades and end up with a ton of plates so I am always looking for ideas to use them.

1st try at glass slumping

Ok well I am one of those people that have to just give things a try. When I was in Dallas a few weeks ago 2 of my cousins had told me about this wine bottle cheese trays their neighbors make. I had never heard of melting wine bottles into anything of use.lol When I got home I googled and found out it was called glass slumping and you can buy molds to make the glass into shapes. Now I didn’t want to invest much into this because I wasn’t even sure my kiln still worked. It’s been like 15 years that it has just sat in the garage. Well yesterday I dug it out and got really excited to see it is still in great shape and working. I tried the 1st bottle… too tall, 2nd.. again too tall now I was not thinking this was going well at all anymore. But here is my favorite wine made here in New Mexico and if I lay it just right it will fit. There are a few things I need to change and work out but for my first time ….. not a bad little cheese tray.
I will be back to paper craft soon…. Well I hope soon. I am fishing in my 1st pro bass tournament this weekend. My oldest son asked me to be his partner and how could I say no to that. Wish me luck and I pray I catch at least a few fish.

This beautiful bride was married to my oldest son’s best friend yesterday. She did not wear the boots at the wedding but the wedding party all changed into boots as soon as they could. It was a beautiful outdoor wedding and reception. Soooooooo this is my inspiration for this week’s project. Scrapbook.... maybe I did take a few pictures.

I know I was going to be back mid June and I still hope to but I wanted to share a few pictures of my boy's. We had a great time in Texas and now it is time to try and catch up at work after being off for a week. Then really I plan to be in my craft room for a few days.

Worst Blogger EVER!!!!

Ok so I am the worst blogger EVER! I really will be back…. As soon as life lets me. My dad’s wife had a heart attack. She is now out of the hospital and was sent to rehab but she didn’t like it so she went home. They refuse to let any health care services come to their house so this has turned into a real mess. My dad is 84 and not in great health and he is trying to take care of her every need. She can’t walk and the last time I was there she could hardly feed herself. I just don’t see this going well at all.

I am also busy with my youngest son’s graduation from high school. We are having a huge party for him and I am doing all the cooking and prep myself. I am so happy this is the last one in school. NO MORE HOMEWORK! I can’t put into words how happy that makes me. I am feeling a little sad that my last child is 18 and will be on his own very soon. I really need grandkids so I can play with them and send them home.lol Anyway thanks for all the emails asking about me. I really will try to be back in mid June.

I have been working on a scrapbook for my youngest son's graduation. I still have some work to do on it but this is a good start.

Mitch didn't go to 7th grade he had chemo that year. He had just finished chemo when he went back to school for the 8th grade (his hair had just started to grow back).

I used cricut design studio and sure cuts a lot to design all the shapes and cut them with the cricut. I am so thankful this is the last child we have in school. I am looking forward to NEVER doing homework again!

I have been such a bad blogger as of late. I have been busy and will have some scrapbook pages to post very soon. I am working on a scrapbook for our youngest son's graduation next month. I also have to make a bunch of these cupcake wrappers. You can find a bunch of SVG's for the cricut Here.

I have done my first digital scrapbook for my last Make-A-Wish shopping spree and when that comes in the mail from snapfish I will share it too. Snapfish donated 100 digital books to Make-A-Wish I made 2 copies, one for my wish kiddo and another one for the wish office. I only had to pay the freight. I still don't think I am a digital type gal. I am making a personal one for my in-law's for Christmas because I think they will get a kick out of the book and they are so hard to shop for. I was going to use my Stampin up design studio but it cost a lot more to print the book through Stampin Up.
If anyone has ideas for graduation pages or party… really anything for graduation. I would love to hear about it.

This Easter basket is 3 pillow boxes with the tops cut off and taped together. The boxes and cross are cut with the cricut using the wedding cartridge at 3”.

I made these for my 3 boy’s and my wonderful husband for Easter. I am not going to go all out this year just a few little treats in these bunny bags. I say that every year but I am going to stick to it this year.

Stampin up Digital Studio

I am giving this program a try. I am not sure about it yet. Would love to hear from others on how they like it. I haven’t really had much of a chance to play with it. I do use the images to print and color. Other than that I haven’t used it much.

What a great flower this has been. I put it in this pot a few years ago and each year I am so surprised when it comes back. The bulbs are sold at Christmas time but I got mine on clearance after Christmas. Also in this pot is a lilly my son gave me last year for mother's day and it has blooms on it too. I just love to have blooms in the house. I also had some time to craft today and will have something posted in the morning.

Maybe cleaning this mess up will help me want to be up here. I hate a messy area but I always have one. Lol It started when I was on my way to the lake last weekend my mother-in-law called and said she found a bookcase she thought I’d like at office max for $20.00. Now I just can’t refuse a good deal so I said sure pick it up and I will pay you for it when I get back.

Well here it is and boy am I glad she found it. It worked out great up here. All my stampin up sets fit inside and the doors keep everything looking a little nicer.

Oh so much better clean. I hate to use it now and mess it up. lol

I even cleaned off the pool table and covered it so I have so much more work space. Denise and Michelle we now have enough room to work.

We made this game room for our kids but looks like I have taken over all of it now. Well all except the air hockey area. Don’t want to get glue on it and as most of you know I am glue challenged. Just gets everywhere!!! Lol

Not back but a little better

I still can’t really think of things I really want to make so I cased this bird house and I think it is cute. The original was made with the mini stampin up sizzix die. This one is not that small and was cut with an SVG cut. I will fill the birdhouses with candy and give as a gift.

The card was fun; the shoe is from the cridut wedding cartridge. I like the easel cards so thought the shoe was perfect.

I feel very loved and wanted to thank you for the lovely comments you left me. I am happy to know mojo does come back and isn’t lost for good. I will hang in there until it returns. I think Barbara just might be right about spring bringing it back.

Well the mojo isn’t back but thought I would try the new stamp sets I bought at the stamp show last month. These stamps come with the nestability dies to cut them out. I still like to hand cut them so with I hadn’t bought the nestabilities.

I just wanted to answer a question that was asked on a post. This coffee sign is a SVG cut I found here. I have it hanging in my office at work over my coffee pot and I just love it. Hope you all enjoy it.

Butterflies for a friend.

A friend of mine asked me to keep my eyes open for open butterflies. I found these and a few others that can be cut with the SCAL and Cricut. These are just proto types and won’t be used. I just wanted to see how they looked cut out. The flower on the blue card is from the Stampin Up design studio. I used it in the SCAL program and had the Cricut cut it out. This is my first try at converting a design studio image to SCAL and it worked great. I love it when things work the first time round.

Back to black and white but not a wedding card today. I will work on a black and white wedding card for tomorrow. I still have plenty of the hearts left. Again these images were printed out with the Stampin Up design studio. I will have to try printing something other than black in the near future.

Careful on Downloading SVG files

Oh I have learned a valuable lesson. Be careful of the SVG files you download. There are 2 reasons I found for this.
1. Some just might have a virus attached to them, I have not had this happen but was warned of them form a forum on Craft edge.
2. Some of the cut files, ok a lot of the cut files are junk! If they don’t show a picture of the cut item I am going to pass them up. I spent hours in the craft room yesterday cutting things out that I downloaded just to find out they don’t work. Good thing I had a bunch of cheap paper and I used it to test cut things. I came down hours later with not one thing to show for the time. Grrrrrrrr
I am going to spend some time cleaning out my files (I have over 6000) and I will be much more careful of the files I do download.

Oh I know you were expecting another black and white card. I will make one for tomorrow because I wouldn’t want to disappoint anyone. Lol This is the under the stars set from Stampin Up. It is one of my favorite sets and I tend to use it a lot. I made the clouds by sponging a little ink around the oval scallop I punched for the birthday sentiment. I used liquid appliqué for the middle of the marshmallow and heated it until it looked a little burned.
